Dried Bael Fruit ( Matuum )

dried-bael-fruit.jpg

Thai recipe name pronunciationIn Thailand we eat the shoots of the Matum tree as a salad vegetable, you can also eat the fruit raw and make jam from the unripe fruit. In it's dried form the main thing we use it for is to make a 'health' tea like drink by boiling the fruit in water.
